Chris;
Original door had a key-lock with no other handle. Most decent size RV supply stores have replacement key locks (like on gas filler door) as well as
twist lock
(like on refrigerator vent door). Camping World has them in their catalog.

Chris

My 75 Palm Beach uses a GM key on a 1/4 turn lock, but if you don't have anything now, some are going to the locks that use a barrel shaped key. Check
the distance from the door to the inside of the frame and go to any auto supply store and they will have a locking compartment key set.

I installed an electric lock on my coach. I followed the example of a
member of the GMC in Casa De Fruta, but I made some changes. You need a
normal, run of the mill, door locks that you can pick up at any place
that installs alarms, door locks etc. I took the cover off of the door
and there is lots of space to put one in. It just connects to the simple
up/down button. I am afraid I failed to take any pictures, but will do
so when I have time. As for the way to open and close, there is a double
set relay called the 451M micro doorlock relay module. I bought mine at
Accessories Unlimited for $15. and the solenoid was about $29. I noticed
that fry's had them when I visited calif.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Forgot to add to my previous message that the alarm system, a clifford
(model 800 ), automatically locks the door when I start the coach, and
unlocks it when I turn off the key. Then when I set the alarm it sets
again.

Hope that helps
