GMCer's
Since I have deleted most messages that had a subject titled,
'conv', I may have missed some pertinent information and perhaps
should not be writing this commentary. But what the heck, never
stopped me before :-)

About 5 years ago the Missus and I were 'green as grass' to the
world of the GMC. We had a GMC and a piece of wrinkled paper
with a phone number for something called GMC Motorhome
International...that was it !! On a return trip from New England
we stopped at a phone booth somewhere in New Hampshire and
called the GMCMI number.
We got detailed instructions to RL's home and upon arrival were
treated like royalty. There was much talk of GMC's, some of his
interesting home, and a little of life in general. The guy was a great
host.
Later, at the Crompton,NH rally when I approached him, the
reception was different; a polite 'brush off ' I guess I'd call it. I
attributed it to pressures of trying to satisfy everyone in attendance
and some who weren't. Not everyone is 'Politically Correct' these
days. I know I work differently under pressure, have two different
personas(equally disliked by many ), don't work with a
'team"(the paycheck only comes to me), and I face problems every
day of the week(not challenges).
My suggestion is cut the guy a little slack or after giving Him (gotta
be fair) notice, go for his job.

Early mornin' thoughts after two cups of King Cole (loose black) tea.

Perhaps it has gotten to the point that we need to have a part time post
established to help Ralph. The GMCI has grown substantially with members
and services and may be at the point of needing some additional help to
ease the pressure of the conventions and also pursue new venues for the
GMCI.

At work I do some things very well, others OK to get by, and many things
not well at all. As we have grown I hired people to do the things that I
couldn't. Made my life easier, happier and more productive. My customers
also liked it.
