Jim,
Thanks for the info. I'll file it away while I start finding parts and an
adventurous A/C shop.
I'll have to miss Rayne. Tied to Grand Children and their spring vacation.
I'm sure you will all have a great time.
Bob McLaughlin

Hi Bob M)Mclaughlin thank you for the kind words , and the
other guys too .are you sure your all talking about me ??? I will try to
answer your question as best I can first.the slave unit [evaperater ] I
took
out of a vovo dash but any one will work. as long as its size and shape will
fit in the place where you want to place it . yes I did use the blower from
the vovo. I placed it under the passenger seat and directed it sideward.
[sometimes its too cold and I have to place something to block it from
freezing my right arm ] be sure you install a drain pan under with pipe to
take water out side . you have to run both blowers at the same time or the
evaperater on one will freeze up. to save money I went to an air cond.
shop
purchase the hoses ,I bolted the unit down and ran the hoses then had the
shop tee into both lines and fill with freon .simple !! the compresser on
our GMC can handle many add on units. that was over 20 years ago and I have
not had to add freon ! at the time I did this job I was installing Cadillac
6 way leather seats so built frame to install unit and under driver seat a
place to store fold up chairs . hope this is helpfull Bob.fell free to call
me 1 970 667 4763 will leave for Rayne wed. morn early .
