Several questions for those that have painted or had their coaches painted.

1. Did you remove all the windows, air conditioners, vents, rails, etc
before painting?
a. If so did the paint shop do the removal or did you.
b. Was removing the side windows difficult

2. If the windows are removed what type of sealant is best to use when they
are reinstalled
3. How can old silicon sealer be removed before painting?

I removed only the simple things: bumpers, lights, mirrors, wipers, etc.
Had no beltline molding or I'd have removed it. All else stayed on.
Ideally ALL the windows would have been out but that wasn't feasible since I
was 750 miles from home & didn't want to pay to have them R&R. The paint
shop would have done it but I'm funny about wanting to do everything I can
myself -- not just because I'm stingy either ('tho' I am). :>)

I'd recently replaced the side windows. That's not very difficult once you
make up your mind to do it. Butyl tape is almost universally recommended
for that purpose -- 'most everybody on 'most all brands use it. Just try to
install it in warm weather & expect it to ooze out for quite a while -- but
it's easy to trim. When it finally stops oozing, caulk over it with a
sealant caulk because it attracts dirt.

Paint supply stores have special removers -- nothing else I know of is
reliable. Now that it's all off, I'll never let any get on again!!!
