Coach in Distress

Thanks Kerry P.:
The adventure continues - made it to Joplin, Mo. and stayed at their KOA - 16 degrees outside at 4am - 40 degrees in coach w/ 2 quartz heaters going full blast - good cuddling w/ my Sweetie.
Headed for Durant, Ok. today and on to hill country of Tx. tomorrow.
GOD is Good - We just need to enjoy the adventure!!! And We Do!

Mike

Glad to hear you are back on the road.

The best heater for a motorhome is a thermometer and compass

When the thermometer gets close to 50 Degrees F use the compass to head south.

Thanks for the help on the window with Lyle

No longer in Distress
Travel info:
Coach is running Gr8 after Dist’r repairs by Larry local mechanic in Cuba, Mo., Larry also found 02 sensor blown out of exhaust line near eng. (I thought the loud noise was a blown donut gasket at the exhaust conn. to the engine), reinstallation of 02 sensor in exhaust line & exhaust repairs by Carl at Muffler Mart in Rolla, Mo. Repairs done!
We spent last nite at KOA in Joplin, Mo. w/ low of 16 degrees outside and low of 40 degrees inside w/ 2 ceramic heaters going full blast.
Spending to nite in KOA in Durant, Ok. - hopefully warmer than last nite (but we sure enjoyed the cuddle time).
A quick stop in Weatherford, Tx. tomorrow to see a retired GMC 6 Wheeler and then on to Kingsland, Tx (home by tomorrow nite)!
It has been eventful, but we met some Gr8 people (new found friends) - GOD is Good - All The Time!!!

Mac

It was warmer than that in town so we cleaned and winterized the bus and if I could I would be heading to Rocky Point but I have work to do like
getting the fuel tanks out of the GMC tomorrow.

Good thing you did it today as Mondays weather doesn't look to be too nice :). Better hurry on those tanks if you're outside. Its easier to just leave
the bus in the barn here.

Yes - I concur w/ your formula for beating the cold - we had planned to leave 1 week earlier than we actually did (following your formula), but I had a scratched cornea in my left eye and eye specialist wanted to be sure it was well on its way to healing before I drove 1,100 miles!
Also - guess my wife of 5 years and of Tx. origin just needed to see snow - she did - 3/8” on top of GMC & Corvair in rocking chair (tow dolly) Thursday am while in Cuba, Mo.
Hope the Window works out well for you.

One of these days when I go out your way to visit my son and family, I'll try to meet you and Hal St Clair and some of the other ABQ GMCers!
