my door has interference in upper rh corner s it is viewed.. it need to be bent out maybe 3/16 inch.. heard stories about placing a wood block in that corner and force the door to bend there for the proper clearance. has any one done this and can share the details thanks again for your collective wisdom. PS re bent door and new bushing and gaskets 3 years ago when i repurchased it door has this problem thanks larry

Yep, block of appropriate thickness wood braced against the door frame where it won't mar the paint, and a judicious application of body weight against the door does the trick. There's spring back so there's more bending required than you might think.

People have told me that the door window has to be removed or loosened so it won't crack with the bending, but I've bent doors many times without touching the window and never had an issue.

Another way to do it:

Rrichard rv thanks for your reply i thought there was a procedure with a block of wood to bend the door out.. i think however that the block has to be across the frame of the door not where the skin is interfering with the coach frame as not to de laminate the skin from the frame i think an adhesive that is the bond .. the photos work to re curve the door bending in.. did some think like that to get it right before i sold it.. new gaskets . bushings an so forth.. Larry, my apologies for not being clear. A wood block is put against the door frame where the door needs to be bent outward and the door is closed on it with a good bit of pressure.

In this photo using the bottom outside corner of the door for an example, a block of wood of appropriate thickness is put across the corner of the door frame (red bar), and held in place as the door is closed against it, pushing on the corner of the door (red dot).

To bend the inboard corner of the door outwards a piece of plywood can be taped in place against the lip on the door frame (red arrow), and the door closed against it. The plywood square should be a few inches square, in the corner and in contact with the door frame lips, both vertical and horizontal.

Sorry the photos aren't better but it's what I have on hand.
