Many thanks to all for their words of comfort. Now I would like to point
out the GOOD that happened yesterday.
I met several people just like those here on the GMC Net. Amazing, but
there are some out there. First problem was how/where to bury a 150# Great
Dane. Not a backyard option with the type of ground we have here-concrete
like. Dump was no option, period. Vet contacted a local funeral home while
I found another Vet who had spaces behind their business. Got that ok for
space, funeral home people came to my house and I led them to the place for
burial. This caravan included the owner in her BMW, her brother in a truck
with a vault on board pulling a back hoe. Lady had her funeral procession.
We got her buried in between the guy having two "human" burials to work.
Now the real reason for this note: They thanked me for letting them take
care of Lady. Offered to bring in more dirt later to level off the
gravesite. And NO CHARGE for their service. Nor was there a charge for the
plot from the Vet.
There are good people still left out there much as we have here on the GMC
Net. Just like a problem on the GMC, people rush to help find the solution.
Thanks guys/gals for just being here with us. We're fine today. Even
petted my bride a bit this morning though rubbing her nose and scratching
her chest met with some resistance. {:>)
Now, did everyone clean out their garages yesterday? Waiting anxiously for
parts.
