Like Frank Folkmann, I've also been struggling with the Classic Tube
pre-bent SS brake lines. The problem that everyone seems to be having
is with the rear "crossover" section. The pre-bent lines cannot follow
the factory routing, since the factory installed the brake lines on a
bare frame and the crossover section runs on top of a frame
crossmember. I thought that the lines could be used as
supplied(especially since Heinz managed to make it work), but I've
decided that it's not possible without grinding on some frame pieces and
the fix for Classic seems simple enough.
The problem is the last section of 1/4 inch line that runs back to the
bogies. It's an "L" shaped piece with 51.5 inch by 10.5 inch overall
dimensions.

It should be installed inside the frame channel, but behind the bogie
mount there's a "U" shaped piece of steel reinforcing channel that
interferes with the line. The fix would be for Classic to "jog" the
tube out 2.5 inches 10 inches forward, like so:
