I watched the guys at buskirks install my 3:55 in about an hour and 45 min..

As I remember they did not drain the fluid to remove the final drive.

They used a floor jack to slide the drive up into place.

Leave the cover on, does not interfear with any thing and beside you do
not want to get dirt into the gear case. My guess is it does not have
any fluid in it an you need to fill and check the level when you get it installed.
> 4. Any tricks to doing it easier? I know emory suggested using longer bolts
> in the two bottom holes to make it mate easier.
Don't forget to remove AND reinstall the bolt that holds the short shaft
into the final drive. Forget to put it back in and you will shortly
destroy the final drive.
