I just discovered the exhaust leak that this list had
convinced me would be the manifold cross over gaskets,
well they have not blown. Probably because the choke
stack plate blew out first. I would like to go to an
electric choke for the Quadrajet (I think I spelled
that wrong). Any one have a NAPA number for an
electric choke that will fit this application so I can
just put a solid plate over the hole? Thanks
I am leaving for Fl on Sat morning; new water
pump, timing chain, axle shafts rebuilt, recored
radiator, Alcoas on the front with new E rated tires
(real 10 ply all steel goodyears including sidewall
225/75 $$$, I knew what to buy thanks to this list)
all in the last two weeks. I am out there tonight
putting in a set of points and tuning.... The starter
crapped out. I thought I was done under this thing!!
Oh well I guess better in the front yard than on the
side of the road.
