Folks,
I don't know much about the GMC/s other than:
1. I like the 4 or 5 that I have checked out in the last
two years
2. They use Toronado running gear
Perhaps someone on the list can make better use of my
engine than can I.
My Toro is a '66 with a documented 64,000 miles. When
I first bought it, I had some valve guides and rocker arms
replaced. Later, I had all of the A/C checked out and the
? valve, condenser and drier replaced.
It runs beautifully, and the interior is almost new. BUT, the
body has bad rust in the lower subframe and I don't want
to trust a patch job.
My thinking is that a strong motor, that the buyer can hear
and try out should be worth $1200-1500 and that the parts
off of the car should warrant a total tab of $2,000.
Anyone interested - either in buying it or suggesting someone
who might?
The car is in St. Simons Island, Georgia, midway between
Savannah and Jacksonville, Florida.
