Central Vacuum

hello all I know I had posted a while back about this but I cant find the post. my central vacuum needs a new motor. was wondering where I could find
that or just buy another vacuum unit off of someone. my unit was a Thomas, and had a 90 elbow on the side of the case. I miss my central vac as it
made cleaning a breeze and was easy to stash out of the way.

Here's a new one from Camping World for $240.
I've been using mine for about 10 years. Comes with accessories including
a stretch hose.

Might be able to find one cheaper. search "rv central vac" or similar
wording.

Sometimes the old motor can be fixed. On ours, it barely ran from the PO, but we found that the brushes were just stuck from probably sitting a long
time. A little lube in there to loosen them up, and it runs perfect now.

I have not yet found the original post but he had the part number.

Well - I found last year's post and this eBay number for a direct replacement motor, $67 shipped.

Search eBay for "ametek lamb" and you'll find all sorts of motors for vacuum cleaners. This outfit is apparently a source for all sorts of vacuum motors.
