I've had 2 Fantastics in for years. I can't remember if I had to cut the
corners but I did not have to cut anything structural (I would remember
that, or rather wouldn't have done it).

I have the in/out in the front and the one with the rain sensor in the rear
(my single AC is in the center roof cut-out). Both have temperature control.

Anyways... I've had no leaks and they work great.

Two of my three fantastic vents went in the cut out without a hitch. And
they are truly fantastic! I don't know if early models lacked a square
frame or what but mine are square.

The unit in the bathroom required cutting and fitting of a bezel but
Sirum's did the job in about an hour and WHAT a Difference!! That old
wimpy fan is sitting in a land fill somewhere in Okeechobee, right where
it belongs. The bad news about the old circular is it didn't move any air
and was noisy. The good news: You could leave it wide open and not worry
about rain getting in!
