Caution about drilling out the hole in the oil filter adapter/Oil filter/lines

Chuck I am not sure that is a good idea to redrill the hole. I have looked
all over the house and tried to find the oil circulation diagram for the 455
engine but can't find it. I believe however that the small hole may act as
an oil resticter to keep oil flow high to the main bearings when engine RPM
is low. If so drilling it could have long term consequences to the engine.
I would not change anything in the engine unless I understood the
consequences of the change first. Just an opinion and maybe someone else has
the correct answer.
