You were not talking to the boss. He seems like a real nice guy. Take
a look at this site. This is where Caspro's phone gets answered.

http://www.ajusa.com/

Arch: AJUSA is the west coast order office. My experience is that Chuck
Stoddard (who is the boss) answers the phone at the east coast (or is it
midwest) office or what they call the tech support line. Every time that I
have talked to him, the chill has been numbing. He may not think that I'm
an idiot but I was certainly left with that impression.

I agree that they make very good products. I have a lot of respect for the
thought that goes into such simple things as adding an informative
instruction sheet to somebody else's product (such as the Ragusa pan or the
Transgo shift kit). I've spent at least a thousand dollars with them. I
agree that Chuck is amazingly knowledgeable about GMC's. But friendly and
helpful. Not in my experience.

Just my 2 cents worth, but my experience with the Caspro tech support line
has been helpful, though cordial, and above all honest, as in don't buy now
as we're not happy with currently supplied models. That's been my experience
when I was getting a spare converter.

I can also relate to their repackaging of regular products. It's like a VAR
in the computer racket, Value Added Reseller. Sometimes the only value added
is reputation, and that's good enough for me. I can relate because I have
mucho computer equipment laying on my shelf that I don't see as fit enough
to give, nevermind sell, to my customers.

The cost of these "duds" has to be absorbed/passed on as does the work
that's required to expand on documentation and the testing of that
documentation.

Perhaps I'm the only one, but I feel it's more economical and less
frustrating to let someone else "explore". There is enough stuff that
requires ones' own exploration because a Caspro doesn't exist to give one
that leader of the pack/edge challenge :-)

I buy from Caspro because I'm comfortable with the quality of product I'm
going to receive and even when it's a known brand that I may find for a few
dollars less somewhere. I will still feel that I got top value for my money.
I do not have that same comfortlevel when I leave a NAPA, Kragens or
AutoZone, etc. :-)

There is not much real original equipment, as in buying from the actual
manufacture, out in this worls of ours. There are exeptions, such as the
Darrens' and folks like him. We should actually consider ourselves fortunate
to probably having more of these real OEM's, however mini they may be) than
most other groups.

That's all folks....
Still havn't left home but getting closer. Waiting for the snow I guess.
Nice day today. Should be travelling and enjoying (hopefully) that new
Caspro steering box and shaft.
