I just read the Cinnabar news letter. A rebuilt carb is for sale at $900.
Even Cinnabar will give your $200 for your old one......

That makes the Howell TBI look cheap. (don't tell him)

Jerry, Manny, Al,Emory, etal, dig out old slugs, we need to sell them.

Just to throw in my .02c . I just spent a few days with bob Lamy and
he is not happy with some of the rebuilds. He finds that they do not
have the sizes on the feeds, nor on any parts. It seems that the
shops just grab something together and call it a carb. i would be
very leery of getting rid of a good GMC carb for one of those. I saw
one that bob was taking apart and the insides do not look like ours.
If you buy one of these, be careful because you may never get it to
work right. Bob could not get one to smog in Ca and had to rebuild
the entire thing. A waste of time, but you get what you pay for.

I've posted my 2 cents on this before, so sorry if I am redundant.

We ordered and got a piece of crap rebuild from someone frequently mentioned
as a GMC supplier. It leaked, plated parts had been stripped or plating,
screws didn't match, some screws were loose, and in general it was junk.

I later bought a Jet carb at a local speedshop. It is a first rate unit and
we are very happy with it.

Here is some info on the Jet carbs.

Here is my two cents on carbs. I'm not a defender of Cinnabar, but I have
studied the Rochester and even conducted a seminar at Western States. There
are significant differences between the motorhome carb and the run of the
mill rochesters including Toronados. Since all MV Rochesters will interchang
and bolt on the 455 there is no guarentee that you are getting the correct
internal calibration even is you specify the original part nos.
Key unique differences include the primary metering rod, the secondary
metering rod, the secondary rod lifter, the power piston spring, No hot
idle compensator. Cinnabar does flow test their carbs and I assume install
the correct internal parts. Unfortunatly, you may get a generic unit from
other places that works ok at part throttle but runs way lean under the high
coach.loads.
