Brent,
600cfm is bit small for 455 inches..Holley recommends 650 CFM model
4175. It is exactly the same as the 4165 except that it has
diaphragm-operated secondaries. It is a spread-bore disign so no
adapter late is necessary. There is no accelerator pump on the secondary
side. A metering plate is used on the secondary side also. Holley
designed this for applications where low-speed luggin makes mechanical
secondaries undiserable, as in tow/heavy vehicles. The secondaries open
only when engine rpm/vacuum will support their operation. Divorced and
integral chokes are available so this carb is a direct replacement for
Chevs, Olds, Pontiac and Chrysler applications.(Very unlike mechanical
secondaries.) I've had very good luck with this carb. They are a bit
dirt sensetive but a good fuel filter will go a long way here.
