Carbon Metallic brake pads are now available for GMC owners (wholesale)
through Hart Auto Supply in Omaha, NE. 800 498-2408 ask for Ty
Diamond. Credit Cards only.

Option #1 Standard replacement brake pads, part number 0524, fits
original calipers as well as the larger calipers. $33.28 + shipping,
for the set (both front wheels).

Option #2 Part number 6144 is 25% a larger surface with attached
shims. This is the latest pad available for the GMC and also fits both
sizes of calipers without modification. $45.92 + shipping, for both
front wheels

SPEAKING OF STOPPING, can anyone tell me more about REAR DISCS for this
beast? My drums are toast (no more material to machine and they rusted from
disuse) and when I change them out, the more efficient discs are VERY
appealing (unless they want my first born for a set of them. On second
thought...)
