Hi All

Good news -- My carb problems are all gone - Thanks to
the help of Jim Bounds.

I was unwilling to re-build my Q-jet myself - because
I feared that my recent valve job -(to replace a burnt
valve) was possibly caused by a too lean condition.
Although I have re-built many a carb in my days - I
had no way of accurately testing my work. I have no
desire to spend another 8 hours taking off heads to
bring them to the shop. The carb had also developed a
"power circuit" problem that caused it to stumble
badly upon even slight depression of the gas petal.

Solution - Jim Bounds has a service that came to Jim's
shop and picked up my carb at noon - re-built /
re-jetted to 72 jets and then FLOW TESTED and returned
it to Jim by late morning the NEXT day.

The carb came back looking like new - My carb had been
changed by the P/O - to what must have been a the car
carb - ( the fuel inlet was on the passenger side and
the vacuum ports were different that the M/H carb.
They set mine up for M/H use - marked the ported
vacuum line for my distributer and included a premium
gasket. All this "PEACE OF MIND FOR ABOUT $200"

Thanks Jim
