Along these lines, John Beaver told me he would build the engine back with the crankshaft that came out of it ground ten under but didn't really like
the idea. The engine has a new crankshaft. Worth the extra to not have to R & R it again.

The shiny new Beaver's Racing Engines 455 now reposes in the engine room of my coach, all the mounts and bolts in place, none of them torqued yet. It
actually goes back easier than it came out, probably because I was looking for the sticking points going back. Filter mount, water pump, final drive
mount plate, etc. Anyway, it's in the coach. Nothing left to do but reinstall every bracket. Clean up the wiring for the MSD Atomic injection.
Replace a bunch of little hoses. Replace the radiator and all that mount on it. Etc. I have a piece of artwork I was going to have printed on a
decal to go under "FOOLISH CARRIAGE" which is lettered on the front sides. It's a WWII (the BIG one) B-17 nose are of a voluptuous gal nude
reclining, and I added a sign she's holding over her middle strategically with "BEAVER POWER" on the sign. Mr. John said his wife would disown him,
so I didn't use it. I'll cook up something more reasonable. If it does half as well in the coach as it did on the test stand, my engine worries are
gone.

Meantime, I have to get Chuck Boyd's trolley back to him. Is anybody in Tallahassee going back via I 75 past Atlanta and up to or past or close to
Knoxville who might be able to carry it?

Johny,

Chuck Boyd is HERE in Tallahassee.
If that won't work for what ever reason, we do have one here that might work for that.

Matt - thought with ice cream and not watching the derby.

ACK. At the dog show S of Atlanta all day Thurs - Fri - Sat - Sun. Leave the house 5:30 return 9P most days. Room for a coach in the driveway
though, till I get home.

Turns out he already had a coach-full of stuff. But doesn't need it anytime soon. I have a couple of shows in that direction some months in the
future, if I haven't got it by then I'll take it when I go. Anybody know where I can find SubLime and Plum Krazy in rattle cans? I found Hemi Orange
but the other two would be better.

Meanwhile a day's labor (for me, 3 to 5 hours) and the exhaust system is hooked up with new biscuits at the header flanges. Which I never can get to
pull up smoothly. They seal, but they're lopsided. Water pump is on, starter went to Dollar Carburetor for brushes, front bushing, grease the rear
bearing and shine the commutators. nuts on the front mount studs and then brackets. Slowly it comes together.

I sit looking out at rain, with more rain. The front yard is a mess of red mud. Beneath the red mud sits my shiny new septic system, instead of
shiny new flooring in the coach. The front chairs will remain as they are, and I'll steam clean the carpet. Which cleaning I suspect amounts to a
cabalistic rite, but the new floor is buried out front for the time being. However, the plumbing now works without complaint which is a fair trade.
When you look at Foolish Carriage, kindly look at the good looking bunks and dinette instead of the stained floor, OK?
