Hello gang,

I replaced the sending units and all was well until I put the floor/insulation down. Now my gauges read empty on both tanks. Not possible as they are
both full as they read before gluing and screwing the floors down. Curious how folks leave access to the sending units while keeping the floor stable.

TIA

Shawn,

If the instrument is showing empty, then the lead to it is shorted.

How did you put the floor down?

Matt,

Glued and screwed. Not sure what else I can say as far as how I laid the floor down.

Too long of a screw.
It hit the wire and tank.
Back out the screws and install ones shorter.

Shawn, next to the fuel selector is a pull apart connection for both fuel
level selectors. Take an ohm meter and check the ohms resistance through
both wires. A lot of time this connection gets corroded and gives off
false readings. This will also verify if you have a break in the wires back
to the senders.
