You need to first know how the cam was
ground, either lobe center of lobe separation method. If you dont know
you
cannot properly degree the cam. Lets compare this to one of Mondellos
RV
towing cams he recommends, the JM14-100, it costs $129.00. The specs on
this
cam are at first glance identical since they both have the same
duration.
But are they really. Depends on how they are ground, :

The above is absolutely correct. Proper camshaft installation means
more than just getting the thing in & working & running. By using a
Degree wheel & dial indicator you can optimize the camshaft
installation. I mentioned this earlier. It's all part of the
blueprinting process. Competition Cams sells an installation kit
(Summit) that comes with a video. This is instruction is aimed
somewhere between the novice & the know it all and will help where words
seem to come up short in this forum. Tom is doing a darn good job but
seeing it sure helps.
