Now that's the second 455 cam I've heard of with zero overlap - the first
was the Edelbrock Performer. Maybe overlap isn't as important in our low
RPM appication. That flies against what I held as "conventional wisdom" in
my street rod days. Back then, we'd put an "RV" cam in a small-block Chevy
for low-end torque without a "lopey" idle. The solid idle was a result of
the low overlap, but IIRC, these cams always had 5 - 10 degrees overlap.

Based on the "mythology" of my youth, the Mondello cam still sounds like a
winner Arch.
