Works as advertised.

Only have about 500 miles on it.

Poor thing was very confused for the first couple miles. After a 15
miles test run it was doing pretty well. No idea how well it has
learned since then but it works much better than my less-than-perfect
GMC Q-jet.

I'll be putting it to the test this summer. I have a 7000ft pass to get
over in August.

I went with the 400HP. I'm running a Dick Paterson distrubutor and was
told it would work just fine with the FiTech.

Yup. Reasonable price and haven't had any problems. I think the
biggest complaint has been their customer service. I haven't needed it
much but others have had issues.

I like it,I got the 600hp because of the edlebrock top end I have. As I was told don't expect better milage unless you were running super rich before.
Mine learned itself in in a matter of a few minutes, the biggest problem I've ran into is the throttle linkage is super stiff with the springs from
the factory they are right on the throttle shafts. I went on some camaro forums and did what they suggested make sure and use the outermost hole and
release the spring on what I would call the secondaries but they really aren't because all 4 open at the same time, then put you original springs or
some fron the "help" aisle at the auto parts store, you don't notice them like you do the second spring fron the factory. My linkage wasn't exactly
stock so you might not have any issues. In the outermost linkage hole you can't get full throttle plate opening but I don't think it would ever be
needed, at least for me it isn't. I'm using the fuel command center and put it in the front of the right side of the radiator like another member of
the forum suggested, It was Gerald Work he did a whole presentation on the install. You probably can search the forum or ask him directly for a copy
of it. I can't seem to find it right now. Haven't got to try it out in real vapor lock scenarios but it isn't suppose to do it at all, and all the
great cold starting the no hesitation acceleration and general overall clean burning I've got now it is well worth it. Climb some small mountains in
Georgia with a toad running only on 7 cylinders didn't even realize it till I got back home and did some checking. Just my observations and ideals,
most of the ideals are by others but pride went out the window a few years ago, remember "if there is a better ideal out there don't be to proud to
use it, but be sure and give credit where credit id due"

Going to have to look into this some. I had the same problem with a very
stiff throttle. Impossible to "roll on" the gas smoothly. I modified
the hell out of the stock cable-holding bracket to give myself a pretty
good feel.

I might look into your spring options to improve it just a bit more.
It's still just a tad stiff just off idle. Pics of that mod would be
useful.

I've had the FiTech 600hp for about a year. It learned quickly and has been trouble free. I had a mechanic install mine and he has been so impressed,
he ordered the high performance FiTech for a hot rod Nova he is building. Actually he applied to be a distributor for FiTech in our area, but was told
there was already some one here. I believe that is pretty strong testimonial to the quality of this system.

Just wondering how the FiTech manages the fuel with such a small fuel table (3x3 or 4x4 I believe). The example in their manual shows a straight-line
extrapolation in between.

These are a couple curves my my low and hi-speed EBL tables from way back in 2009. I don't have any current tables on-line.

Bottom line to all these interesting posts for me is how successful Fitech has been shipping the same unit to so many different applications of engine sizes, states of tune, cams, gearing, vehicle weights, driver expectations, driving conditions, etc. How they have been able to make one system with one set of algorithms work across all those very different circumstances is a real testament to todays microprocessor and sensor technology and their approach to making it all work from one product platform. My hat is off to them.
