We've been here a couple of times before guys. We need to get an effective
way of accessing this information. I know I find myself asking questions
that have been covered before because it's just too difficult to wade
through all the old material. I've got saved text files on a number of
subjects but just can't save enough.

Patrick, you need to retire from that day job so you've got more time to
organize the net!!!

Myself, I'm at that awkward age where I could take early retirement so I'd
have more time for my toy collection or I can keep working so I can afford
to keep the toy collection.

I'm too young even for thoughts of early retirement. My "kick the dog"
comment goes back to a thread last year when we had a rash of
retirements and I went into a faux cyber-sulk mode. I recently got some
good news on this subject tho' - the pension plan of the large company
we were acquired by last year allows full retirement at 60 instead of 62
as was the case with our previous plan. Plus they're doing a "pension
wrap" which gives me full benefit of my 20 years of service.

Just to close the record on this... The Radio Shack $2.69 BR was
suggested by me, for someone that was trying to replace the small
rectifier on the Onan (that they charge too much for also). The small
one was for charging the Onan starting battery (a feature which most of
us don't use). The RS version was only suggested for that smaller of the
two replacements, and is properly sized WRTO PIV.

I think it is good that this came up again because it could be easily
confused, especially since Lanier just told us they look identical. Two
years from now, if I looked in my emergency spares box and saw this RS
rectifier, I would be confused as to which it would replace.

I haven't got a clue where it is... I was just responding to a fellow who
gave me the specs for the small battery charger rectifier and I looked it
up for him. Would the person who started all this come forward and tell
us where to stick it? Maybe Duane knows, he knows everything else about
this machine.
