Brakes

Here I am back with another problem. I AM back because I know this net is
the greatest source of info on a GMC there is!!!!!! Here it is; going down
a grade when applying light brake I get a vibration. Only happens when
brakes are applied. Bearings were repacked about 6000 miles ago and at same
time brakes checked by well known GMC shop. I was told brakes were FINE.
If I had to guess it feels like a warped rotor. Any ideas?
May take me a while to respond since I only get the digest.

Jerry,
Sounds like warped rotor(s) to me. Where do you feel the vibration, in the
brake pedal and/or the steerig wheel?

Two things
1. Wheel nuts put on with a impact wrench instead of a torque
wrench..Loosen each nut and than retorque using a good torque wrench. Never
never let anyone use an impact wrench on your wheels.

2. Contamination on your discs and.or rotorsd,,if so you can see it
