I'm no expert on the subject, but I understood that both the rotors and
drums are unique to the GMC.

Scott,

I hear ya' but, if there were an interchange, it would surprise me greatly
that someone in GMCMI had not already turned it up. Don't let me be a wet
blanket tho'...

Hi All
I just pulled my front and rear wheels to check bearings and brakes.

The good news is one rotor and one drum are still good.

The front bearings had .005" and .006" spacers. The .005 bearing shows
signs of running hot.

Three of the drums have the balancing weights missing. The weld mark that
originally held the weight is clearly visible but there is no sign of the
weight. One drum is also badly gouged. It is easy to spot the missing
weights because the hub rotates until the weld for the missing weight is on
top.

Has anyone been successful in getting drums rebalanced?

I am replacing hoses, wheel cylinders, springs, shoes, and anything else
easily removed on the back and callipers, rotors, and pads on the front.
The PO installed 80mm callipers but one leaks fluid. I am also rebuilding
the drive shafts and replacing the wheel studs while everything is off.
