Well, today was the day. As Yoda said: "Do. Or do not. There is no try." So, I did it. I put a deposit down on a 1976 GMC motorhome. I honestly don't know what model it is. The inside of the drawers are stamped "Quality Built by GMC," so I presume it's one of the four factory models they offered. The coach has two layers of paint. The current color is beige, but underneath it is green. I think it might be a Palm Beach, but not sure. (The cabinet doors are louvered, but have been painted white.) Once I get it to my winter parking/storage/renovation space, I'll get a deeper look. I am a former journalist and current singer-songwriter. I write what I call Heartfelt Americana. By Spring of 2020 I intend to be living full-time in the motorhome and touring the country, performing my songs. I'm thinking my stage name might be Boondock Balladeer. So happy for this forum. I expect to gain lots of wisdom and guidance and will share my own journey with whomever might be interested. I know I'll have lots of questions. So, thanks in advance for your time and consideration. Hope all is well with you and yours. Kind regards. David.
