This summer, some of the western states had 10% alcohol in the fuel. At high
altitudes, the alcohol would boil out when we stopped. This caused some
extra starter work to refill the carb, but the main problem was the stink in
the coach. This was solved with a simple 3" bilge fan{, 3" aluminum
corrugated dryer ducting and a Trist #3647 adjustable thermostatic fan
control www.fuelparts.com $55 delivered. Adjusted the temperature for the
fan to come on at 130 and aimed air at back of carb. Wired, with own 5 amp
fuse, to be on all the time so when we shut down, the fan will run and keep
cooling the carb.
Stick is gone! Much cheaper solution than Fuel injection which can't be
installed in my 77 in Ca until 2003
