I did not use a valance as she sent me all I needed. You do need to take out
the cabinets and most of the new hardware will install where the old one was.
At least you can find where the real aluminum braces were when you had the old
blinds up. In front, I bought a set of curtains that go around the front.
They are pleated and work good, but over time, the pleats need some help
folding.
