Help... I am looking for Walter Drew and Emery Stora both who are listed on the
Black List. I am hoping to get current number for them as the Black List is
wrong on both. If they are on the net, could they get updated numbers.
thanks

Scott, you are so right! I didn't add my name to the list since I
couldn't offer any mechanical assistance but if someone wants a cuppa or
just wants to vent their spleen, I should be available.

Therefore, I will write Roger and have my name added to the "BLack List"!

There have been quite a few new additions to the list recently. Get your
new copy at rblack and use "List" as your subject. That's all
it takes. As we found out, a telephone # was wrong, update your listing
with the good stuff. We were keeping it short at first, but now you can add
the important stuff, size coffee pot, etc.

Or, you can view the list at http://www.california.com/~eagle/ under What's
New. The really good stuff is listed there also and answers to GMC
questions on "How to do." The list is available in three different formats
there, which should fit everyone's needs. Thanks again, Henry.

Don't wait till you're on the road and "I Forgot the Black List."

Roger

Roger, recent posts suggest the "Help" list would welcome those who could
do little more than pour coffee or offer an understanding ear. We'd
certainly be willing and able to provide that, so please put us on.

Not sure what form you'd like the info presented, but here's the basics:

Dave & Dege Lowry
805-964-2631
5 Miles North of Santa Barbara, CA
Some tools
20 amp AC, water, dump
Coffee, Tea or ??
Consolation

Can't fix what's broke, but glad to help you find someone you can.

Roger, let me know if you need more.

BTW, Have you seen enough coaches to know what floor plan you want? If so,
let us all know what you want and how much you'll pay so we can help you
graduate from "wanabe" status.

It's that time again. Since additional "lurkers" and newbies have spoken
up, we have a
GMC list of owners/supporters who are making themselves available for what
ever assistance they can offer to other GMC'ers on the road traveling. This
list is for those who will offer help to others on a 24 hour basis, rain or
shine. Sorry no help for those in SOB's. Just a GMC. The list is being
maintained on a permanent basis at the link below along with other great
information.

Currently you can view this list at www.henry-davis.com/GMC thanks to Henry
Davis. While there, visit around and enjoy his work. The "list" is also
available at
http://www.california.com/~eagle/ Gene Fisher's informative site.

To sign up for the list, which is not mandatory to anyone, just send an
email to rblack and you will be added to the list and a copy
will then be sent to you for corrections, etc. Please send name, city,
state, country, area of coverage, phone number, and any other pertinent
information such as "facilities and knowledge to do off frame restoration."

We are just trying to have someone with local information to avoid rip-offs
to fellow travelers who have problems. Also, list size of coffee/tea pots.
To obtain a list for your own travels or use, whether on the list or not,
email rblack with "List" as the subject, and one will be sent
ASAP.

Thanks for your support of the "Black List."

Roger

I will be away for a couple of days this week. If you need/want a new list
please request today if you are going to need it this or next week. There
are quite a few additions if you do not have a new "model." Ask, it's free.
Do you have a place for it in your GMC, yet. Do it. Never know if/when you
might want it.

A while back Scott Nehoda commented on the lack of folks on Roger's list in
a few states. I guess it's my turn.

Being on the list doesn't mean that you have to be able to fix a darned
thing. You may only be able to offer a spot to stop for emergency repairs.
Or maybe you can help a fellow GMCer in trouble get connected with a local
repair shop.

Like some you may have covered shop space with all of the GMC tools needed
to perform any maintenance.

Regardless of the level of help you can give, putting your name on the
Black list is something that you can do to help other GMCers. It doesn't
cost anything and can help keep more GMCs on the road. Send Roger your
contact information today.

Roger, I just wanted you to know that I got my first phone call from the
black list this week. A couple had trouble in Little Rock and gave me a
Call. I wasn't much help because I am 70 miles from there , but I was able
to give them phone numbers for several places and even an exit number for
the Rv repair shop. I really felt good about being able to help a little

Thanks, Pam,
That's what the Black List is all about. Glad it worked for someone and you
were able to help. Good to hear that it is working and that's because of
all of you out there in GMC land. We have pretty good coverage for
something that only began with an idea less than 6 months ago. My thanks
to all who supported, helped, gave sites for listing, and all who joined in
with their names to offer support.

MY HAT'S OFF TO ALL OF YOU!

Wonder if Heinz had his on his trek through the West Coast and Southwest?
