Any more changes, whip em on me. New list goes to the printers in the

Hello!

I have just uploaded the new Black list on my site. You can find it at
http://www.henry-davis.com/GMC

Click on the help link.

You can also find the updated list on Gene Fisher's site:

http://www.california.com/~eagle/

The list is a group of volunteers who can assist GMCers in the event of
trouble on the road. Some have a friendly ear and the ability to direct you
to competent local help. Others can help do most anything to your coach.
This version also includes people who have bearing pullers and are willing
to help with those types of problems.

Membership in the list is open to anyone who is willing to help in any
fashion. Several states are missing from the list - we need volunteers.

There's no cost or big commitment - just a willingness to help out if help
is needed.

Best,

Henry

Ladies and Gents,
My letter was not intended to toot my horn or the List. The responses were
what I expected and as long as I have a bit of control over the List, the
letter writer will stay on the list until he does a better job of convincing
me to take him off.

I wanted to emphasize that this list may have my name attached, but it is
the property of the people on this net. It will not exclude anyone willing
to be listed and help out. You have the right to refuse to use it, so be it
and good luck as a local shop absorbs even the numbers off of your credit
card. Your choice.

There are some who have the wrong conception of what the list is for.
Hopefully they will see the error of their ways and come back into the 20th
century. Fortunately it is only one in 4-5 hundred or so on this net.

Neither the list nor I, are going anywhere. Since I now own 2/100ths of two
different coaches, where else would I go. Send me my parts please.

THE BLACK LIST IS FOR EVERYONE AND ANYONE WHO OFFERS ASSISTANCE TO AN OWNER
IN NEED. PERIOD. NO OTHER REQUIREMENT. NONE, NADA!!!!!

Off soap box, for now but you better be careful.{:>)

Thanks, Guys and Gals,
Roger

I already sent you $10.00 towards parts.

"Hey if I'm stuck somewhere and need some help, I'll be happy to find a
sympathizer, whether or not they are an "owner". It would seem to be any
one
willing to go out of there way to help a GMC'er belongs on the list."

Well said. I agree.

Hello all.

Roger's latest update to the Black list is now posted on my site
http://www.henry-davis.com/GMC/

Click on the help link.

The Black List is a voluntary list of GMC owners who offer to help other
GMCers with problems encountered while traveling. Some folks offer complete
shops, while others are willing to help find a mechanic. Please consider
joining the list. It doesn't cost anything to be on it and you may just
help a fellow GMCer one day. The list has helped several owners.

Try adding "Sex" to the subject line as you did for the Laptop Fund,
which BTW is now at $1,060! It sure gets attention! (including the eMail
police!)

New list is posted to Gene's site at
http://www.california.com/~eagle/services.html

Henry's site will be a bit behind till he returns to the US of A.

I will be off on Wednesday heading east to Etlanta, eventually for the
weekend, then up to Nashville and beyond. If you need a Black List from me,
better holler by tomorrow night.

And yes, I'll have a copy with me.

I think I have bought a GMC in California. Going there tuesday May 9 and
if all is well, will drive it back to Florida. Yeah I know, could I have
found one farther away? Probably, but I have looked for a year now to
find the right one.
My question is how to get the number of the Black list man, 3000 miles
will be a miracle if I don't need help somewhere. If I get all set up
with deal I can offer help here in the Ft. Myers Fl area. I have a home
in an Airpark with large hangar and plenty of tools, welding etc. for
emergencies. I would appreciate an e-mail with a number I might reach
for some help in finding service or parts along the way. ( mostly I-10
to Fl from LA, then I-75 on home)

Good luck and have an awesome adventure. I will be in Colorado in August if
you still need help or here in Connecticut if you get really lost.

Dick,

Congratulations!

Hey, I live in California, and I bought my GMC last year in
upstate New York. Ya get 'em where ya find 'em.

If you're traveling east on I-10, we're in Redlands (San
Bernardino/Riverside area). Yell if you need help, or just
wave as you go by. We're on the Black List (next to your
American Express card, it's the other thing you should not
leave home without).

Good luck on your purchase and trip if it works out. Relax
and have a great time!
