Birchaven weighs 10,100 ?

I'm revisiting this question because the more I think about it the more puzzled i am.

First, the scale is fairly accurate having checked it against other scales and other vehicles.

So, my 76 Birch weighs just 400 lb less than gross for a 23-footer.

Where are those pounds coming from?

Alcoas are how much lighter than steel? 200 lb total?

There is NO generator installed- there's 200 lb.

I have rear disc and quad bags, is that any heavier?

All the appliances are lighter than the originals.

The 3-burner w/ oven has been replaced with a 2 burner cooktop

All the cabinetry is lighter except for a solid surface countertop.

THe only heavy add-on would be the trailer hitch.

It's gonna take a lot of Adderall to get this thing right.
 
Find yourself a State Highway weigh station that is open (or closed). Pull the whole coach on the scale and read the display. Now you will have a
second weighing to compare to. Most of these state scales are "certified" frequently because drivers are given tickets and sometimes prevented from
continuing in if they exceed 16,000 or 18,000 per axle.

Grain scales are usually not looking for total weight, but are instead comparing the weight going in vs. total weight leaving. No one cares if the
totals are off by a few hundred pounds because they are off the same going in and leaving.

When I worked in a steel mill we weighed all trucks both in and out on each axle. The was to verify the amount loaded and also to make sure each axle
was not overloaded by the steel loading location on the trailer. We had "certified" weights that had been around since the 1920s and a crane.
Monthly they would drag the weights out (usually on Sunday), drop them on the scales, and re-certify them again. I do not know how they certify
highway scales but I doubt it was old school as we were.

That might be possible but i ran my Excursion over it and i got 7400 lb which is what it should be and it's same weight i get with the excursion at
the county landfill.

If you got two scales to agree, then you are probably correct with your weight readings.
