Best shock absorbers

Still doing my presaftey work on my 75 Glenbrook so far I have one broken front shock so will replace both fronts and will be checking back ones as
well before I order. Just wondering if the KYBS or the Billstiens there is about a $30 difference in price is there any difference in performance.
Also need drivers side lower ball joint so other question is if these parts are available in Canada. It seems to take about three weeks to get parts
shipped from states and I am anxious to get going. I am happy to support Our suppliers but don't want to wait.
 
I have seen a number of bilstein shocks with the top mounting ring broken.
Their warranty is questionable. KYB is what I use on my own coach, and
recommend for others. Their warranty is very good. Performance? Too close
to tell. KYB'S are a bit cheaper.

Remember that about half of the readers do this as e-mail and so they don't see the "Dauphin, Manitoba".

The parts list says that a Moog K6215 is a replacement for the lower.

I have had three of the four rear shocks leak at full compression. They were all Bilgestiens.

Thanks Hugh they are sale for $52 right now do you happen to know the number for the rear shocks in case I need them?
 
Thanks found them on sale in Canada as well I need all the deals I can get right now thank god everything else in the front seems to be fine.

I ordered my KYB's from Applied GMC 13 years ago. Very happy with them. Two years ago I felt that I had a problem with 2 of them. Jim K at Applied sent me replacements at no cost. I was so happy. I was glade to just pay the shipping. And not sure I had too. Products are as good as the dealer. I bought some very nice fire extinguishers from Applied. His supplier for them is Jim Bounds. I had a new one leaking when I got it. Jim Bounds wanted $50 back, and fort for shipping. Then $25 to fix the new extinguisher that he made. Jim K at Applied solved my problem at no charge. If you go with the KYB, like I did, I would definitely get them from Jim K at Applied. After years and years of abuse Jim will have no problem getting
you new replacement ones under warranty. That's worth the wait alone!

In 2002 I brought my coach home from Houston. Among other things, I checked the shocks, and found all Bilstiens. Two were broken at the top ring. Two
were intact, but all of the oil had leaked out, so were nonfunctional. The last two were functional but near dead. On the advice of others on the
net, I bought KTB's. I have about 65K miles on them now and my only complaint is that the bushings in the mounting rings are too soft for the
application, especially the uppers. The rubber di-forms and actually squashes out of the ring; I have replaced all of the bushings with "Energy
Suspension" 3/4" Polyurethane hourglass shaped bushings, Part #9.8108. These bushings have held up for 6 or 8 years now without degrading. Unless KYB
has responded to other complaints relative to the bushings and corrected it with a harder material, I personally would put those Polyurethane bushing
in new KYB's and avoid this problem later. Other than that issue, the KYB's have preformed well for me and I'd buy them again. JMHO
