Beltline molding

I have a 77 and the beltline molding was drooping and falling off. I took it off and I'm cleaning it and repairing it painting it but what is the best way to reattach? obviously it has some screws but it looks like there's some sort of an adhesive as well. any recommendations?

3M double sided foam tape? Their is a specific # (i dont remember it) that will stick it on for a good long time...its the same stuff OEM car manufacturers use to install body side moldings.

Someone else may have a better plan though.....

Most auto parts stores will sell a 3M brand "auto body molding tape" in various widths. It's pretty much made for that application. You could always order something from 3M's VHB line as well. They're assembling cargo trailers with it these days; it saves a ton of labor compared to a thousand rivets.
