Greetigs from "sunny" Richmond Virginia. I threw an alternator belt on the
engine the day before yesterday. Now I need to replace it. The fan shroud
is the original. Any suggestions on replacing the belt? It doen't look to
me like there's enough room to fit the belt between the fan blades and the
shroud. I also need to loosen the other belts.

BTW, there's no room for me to slide under the front of the coach where we
have it now - and probably not enough room even if I do move it to allow me
to wiggle under the engine.

Henry,

Did you get the NAPA 24-14483 belt? It's the "toothed" style and seems to
be a little easier to get on. I've changed a couple(including the one that
dad's coach tossed on the way back from Myrtle Beach last year) and there's
usually a place around the fan shroud where there's enough clearance to get
past the blades. If it gets too frustrating, just unbolt the fan clutch and
set it in the shroud while you put the new belt on.

RThat's what I suspected. I'll look for a spot where I can sneek the belt
past.
