I am currently replacing the outer CV joints on my coach and checking the rest of the steering components. I checked for any bearing play while the
tire was on and did not feel any at all. I have the knuckle off now and there is some play when grabbing the rotor and rocking it back and forth. My
question is if there is an acceptable tolerance when the hub and knuckle is off the vehicle?
Can you still get the bushings for the relay lever or need to be sent off for machining? Lower ball joints will also be replaced since they have some
play in them.
