Bearing pullers

Recently I had 68 bearing pullers manufactured and all are finally shipped
except the last 13. Sorry for the delay but had a catastrophic computer failure.

Just thought of something after talking to another GMCer today. I went
through a lot of trouble and time designing the puller for manufacture by
CNC and than prototyping and testing and finally packing and shipping. In
addition I made a deal with the SPX Corp to get the OTC 927 at dealers cost
of $75 instead of normal $115. I did not do it for the money as anyone that
has seen the puller can testify to. We got them manufactured at cost.

I would expect anyone that no longer needs this tool to sell it to another
GMC owner at no more than what you paid for it. I think that is only fair to
everyone. I guess I would be upset if I saw one of my pullers on the market
at a high price.

I had more orders for pullers than my friend had material for. I have been
asked by additional people if more can be made. They can be but not in
small quantities as the cost than becomes prohibitive. If anyone else wants
a puller we will have another batch made. Cost is the same $100 for the
puller but this time $10 for packing and shipping.

UPS just arrived with my puller. It does look like a nice piece of
work. For the time being I'll use the 3 pieces to keep paper from
blowing off my desk. My bearings are not scheduled for replacement
for another year or so.

I don't want to seem dumb, but I do have a question. How does it
work? I know I have to buy another part, the actual puller from
another source.

When I get ready to pull my front bearings, will it be intuitive
as how to set up the puller? I have not even seen my front bearings
yet.

I bet John Wright got his puller today too as our last names
are near the bottom of the list.

GMC Motorhome News did a good article on using the bearing puller. I don't
remember which issue, but I'm sure someone will chime in with that soon.

copied as I did it for Scott.

GMC Motorhome News did a good article on using the bearing puller. I don't
remember which issue, but I'm sure someone will chime in with that soon.

I looked in my GMC Motorhome News binder and as luck would have
it, I don't have issue 7. I also don't have issue 14. The PO gave all the
earlier issues to me that he had when I bought my coach. I got my
own subscription shortly after that.

My recollection of the issue may not be correct. Now that I think of it,
issue 7 had the article on the 3.42:1 ring and pinion gears that I sent
Scott, and not the article on the bearing R&R.

Going back into my personal archives (have saved over 7000 e-mail messages
from the GMCnet), I find the correct issue is June 1996. Do you have that
one??

There are lots of us with(almost) the new puller who would probably like to
have a copy of the instructions. Could they be put up on someone's web page???

Paul,
I went back to my binder and opened it right up to the very page
that shows the puller! Page 8-9 of the June 1996 issue. Now I
see how it all works. It's a duplicate of the Winterfelt puller which
I didn't know before. It also says that it costs $420! We did get
a good deal! THANKS TOM!

7,000 messages! Wow and I thought I had a lot, only about 2,000
at last count.

Gary You can call Cinnabar and order June 1996 # 8 copy of gmc news as I did(
think it was 2.50) good article with very good pictures, Or I can make copies
and send to you. Let me know.

Ok, folks, I have screwed up on the listing of the bearing pullers. Please
resend your name if you want it posted on the Black List. There will be a
