Hi All,
Just read the description of Beautiful Highways. Back in 1986 we took our
Brand New Minnie Winnie to Yellowstone by way of Bear Tooth Pass, I assume
the hard way was East to West because we were on the outside edge looking
down the whole way up. From the drivers seat I could not see the boulders
that lined the edge, just straight down. My wife and young sons were no help
they were on the floor afraid to look. After I started up there was no place
to turn around. At the top we traveled the spine of the ridge to a really
great primative campground with fantastic views. It took two days to get my
fingers off the death grip on the steering wheel. As we recuperated we spoke
to the Campground Hosts, they were in a 35' fifth wheeler, told us they go
up and down a couple of times a week , although usually not with the
trailer. I guess it's what your'e comfortable with. I now head in or out of
Yellowstone via the Southeast Cody entrance.
