In recent times, I have bought all new tires. Typically two at a time and the new ones go on the front.
As a result of a recent adventure (those nasty things that make one late for dinner - B. Baggins), I bought a new pair.
I also bought a jar of 0.20 gram "Airsoft" pellets. I put them up in 4oz bags and asked the tire shop to put them in the two new tires.
I just got back from the 155+/- miles to Mansfield and back. In spite of this being in Michigan and Ohio, when I was on smooth roads, the drive was
amazing. There was so little vibration in the wheel that it was cause for wonder.
Yes, she also had a new steering damper, but that was really just a "solonas" thing.
Now, if I could just get the front end aligned right, she would be more of a dream to drive than before......
