Mostly for the new folks, but a reminder for all. A guy got fortunately only his arm broken locally when his car fell off the jack. If you are under
your GMC when it comes down, YOU WILL NOT SURVIVE THE EXPERIENCE most likely. Yes it's a PIA to block under the frame for 'just a quick look'. Come
off the jack or lose an airbag and there ain't time to get out from under, you're squashed. I dropped one of mine while trying to figure how to block
it and destroyed an aluminum radiator - an expensive lesson. It's a risk - reward calculation. The risk is small, but the reward is a box, either
for ashes or body. Crib it before you crawl under. If you're on dirt, DO NOT TRUST JACkSTANDS. Regardless the surface, I crib mine with 4x4s and
shake and bump before I go under it.
