My "New" GMC has 1 battery in the front and a large bus 12v battery in the
Gen area. I am now hooked up to shore power and the rear battery is charging
but the front is not. Is there a wire missing or doesn't the coach battery
charge while on shore power?
Yes, all this "talk" got me to sign up for the "Black List" but I have only
owned a GMC for not even 2 weeks now. And it has made me bleed already.

You need a combiner or a different charger. If you still have the original
converter you need a new charger any way. You might want to read some of this:

A quick temporary "fix" is to make a shhort jumper cable with medium sized
clips on each end. Use it to jump between the hnouse and engine battery on
the firewall. I use the isolator house battery post and the engine positive
post that's mounted on the firewall. It's a manual system that can get you
into trouble if you leave it on while discharging the batteries. You could
cycle the engihne battery too many times and kill it, or just discharge the
battery too deep so that you can't start the MH.

You've gotten a couple of good responses, but I don't think anyone has
directly answered your question. In the OEM configuration, the "converter"
does not charge the coach battery. This is true at least of the GM(Gemini)
finished coaches. There are probably other arrangements in coaches that
left GM as Transmodes.

Yes it does, is it the isolator that separates the batteries? Could a person
jump the isolator and charge the engine battery while hooked up to shore?

yes you can, but if you forget to remove the jumper, what ever ran down
your engine battery will now run down both....

I just posted that question, I guess I should read all my mail before I ask
questions. I think the engine battery is junk, I have a service station type
charger and it still isn't coming up to voltage.
Going to Denver in a couple of weeks for a maiden voyage, is my S-10 too
heavy for a toad?
