Chris,

I've only found the "bottom diverter" sytle faucet in the West Marine
catalog. Someone recently posted about mounting a shower on the forward
wall of the wet bath. I think I'd go this route if I replaced the faucet.

This sheetmetal-type drain plumbing is renowned for short life. Replace it
with PVC from your local hardware/Lowes/Home Depot.

You don't mention the type of damage to the supply lines. If you found
freezing or corrosion on the supply lines, more than likely you have it
somewhere else in the system. Under the galley cabinet, behind the wet bath
and at the fresh water tank are likely places to find freeze damage.
Abrasion is the resort of either a poor installation or repair. I just
replaced nearly all of the fresh water plumbing in my coach. I had
corrosion, freezing and abrasion damage. I didn't originally intend to
replace everything, but I found that much of the copper tubing used by
Gemini was not standard size. BTW, I also found several poorly done
repairs(as well as some scorched insulation) by the PO that led to my
replacing the plumbing. I used a combination of PEX and copper using
carefully placed unions so that I could pull a section out to repair it in
the shop if necessary.

Thetford recommends using their standard holding tank deodorant in
the liquid form. Use a double dose. Someone here said they had bad
results with power in the recirculating toilet.

Grandview Motorhome in Marysville, Ohio has found a faucet that will
fit the sink. It would also move the shower head off the wall and to the
sink, but it would cure that leak. They are planning on having it to show
at the convention in Forest City. I don't have their phone number here
right now, but they usually have an add in Motorhome Markeplace.

West Marine has the Tempo 84005 for $30.49

There's no picture of it on their web site, but you can see it at:

I think this would be a direct replacement for the original. I may find out
as my wife just nixed the idea of mounting a shower on the forward wall of
the wet bath.

You got good eyes Arch... I thought that was a drain pull, but taking a
closer look, it does look like a diverter outlet. Shucks! There's goes
that option...

Is the bathroom sink faucet a standard part any RV parts place
shouldhave? Mine has a leak in underneath the faucet so when you turn
it on a little stream of water shoots straight out at you, I don't care
for this
feature much!

My bathroom faucets also leaked, so I removed the handle then the
collar on topside with a 11/16 open end wrench. The collar (or nut)
did not have a washer under it (or was worn away). I cleaned up the
insides with a wire brush and replaced the rubber pieces with
replacements from local hardware store. Got an O-ring to go under the
collar and put it all back together with a little grease. Total cost
about $2. The guys at the HW store couldn't find a replacement valve
assy so they helped find the rubber pieces to replace.

Bill ... on the digest ...
