Does anyone know of a source for a bathroom faucet like or
similar to the original one furnished with the 78' (and
possibly others) motorhomes? Mine currently has a replacement
that has the diverter on top of the faucet and the hose is
all routed inside the bath area instead of appearing above
and keft if the wall mounted spray head. I also need a source
for the shower curtain hardware that rides on the overhead track.

Hi folks! Tim Brown in Bemidji, Minnesota

I would like to know if anyone has a source for a bathroom faucet
similar to the original found on a 78' GMC Kingsley?
Mine currently has a replacement faucet that does not utilize the
original shower hose which hooked in "behind the scenes". It has
a black hose which attaches behind the faucet and which remains inside
the bath area.

Tim,

The "wet bath" is by far the most common arrangement in the GMC's, so
any firm that does restorations should have them. Check with Clasco,
Golby or Cinnabar. Let me know if you need phone numbers and I'll dig
them up.

One thing to watch for when you install one of these, the tubing from
the faucet to the shower hose has a low point under the sink which is
hard to drain. Be sure to make some provision to drain it or those
Minnesota winters will give you an ugly surprise the next time you take
a shower.
