Guys,
I serviced the Steering lower shaft CV Joint and accidentally dropped the bearings out of the bottom. I sat for a half hour rotating the inner
sprocket and reinstalling the bearings until I got a smooth operation while swiveling the CV joint. I greased the joint up with Valvoline Full
Synthetic Moly grease as directed and now I need to secure the new boot.
Using a "Band It" tool and 1/4" straps to secure the steering shaft boot, what torque should be applied to this small boot and should I double band?
Thanks,
Tom
