Thanks Rick for the been there-done that reply on the torsion bars, I
will scout around for a tool to do it the proper way. Was just looking
for a short cut!

Also thanks for the replies on the ball joints. They have been
previously replaced and I want to be able to remove the lower a-frames.
Since the unit is up on blocks for the winter I want to pull the entire
front end for inspection. I just got the unit in July and want to go
over everything so next years travels are trouble free.
Even if many parts are fine, I will still know what state they are in,
and properly greased. I certainly don't want a lower a frame failure in
my travels. Is there a post anywhere about the beefing up that is done
to the lower a frame?
Anybody else have any comments about the 1/8th. inch allowable play on
the ball joints? I still do not feel comfortable with this.

Regards, Gil

Read my web page on ball joints, I show some pictures and sources.

If there are others that are interested in the OTC J22517C torsion bar tool
I will set up a special buy for them thru OTC and will find out the quantity
prices tomorrow.
