You're not alone Mike.
I've been using the Shell/Canadian Tire Synthetic for quite a while now. I
did have one tube that did "leak" in the greasegun while stored in the
garage. I can't recall if it was during winter and stored on the floor
(heated) or if it was just in my regular greasetub on the shelf. Havn't had
one since. I know that it only leaked in the greasegun as I would have
remembered if a tube on the shelf had done the same
I've quit packing the greasegun around as I figure I can strech the grease
interval occasionally. I try for 3k.
I have not seen puddles or any other evidence of the grease seperating at
point of use. Have probably used it for a couple of years by now.
