I'm not so sure rear view camera is all that much of waste. I suppose any of
the newer creature comforts could be put into that category. I just
purchased a '78 Birchaven and redoing it almost completely. Trying to decide
whether to put in an audiovox rear vision system or GPS. The nav systems are
not only pricer but by my read is that the software can eat you alive.
I am new to this mailinglist thing and would sincerely appreciate some input
from you folks regarding rear view systems in general and in particular what
brands have provided good results. Same for GPS. Part of me tells me that I
am tring to put perfume on a pig.
Input would also be appreciated regarding any experiences out there with
Custom Instrument Panels. Do they make a decent product? Quality guages?
Their ultra deluxe job starts to get real pricey when you figure in labor
for the install.
Thanks
