Through the heat and wind we're back out West.
Seems we've resolved the alternator pulley problem as being one of not
enough iron on the stator shaft which caused the pulley to flex under load
and basically undoing the nut.
Will be passing on the information to Leigh so that may consider a change in
the serpentine kit. I ended up using a Ford pulley but have to make it align
a touch better, but it made it all they way back without hassle. It needs to
go about a 1/6th or 1/8th further out but I ran out of threads on the
stator.
I'll elaborate later re wireless service and coverage and the eastbound vs
the uneventful (yipee) westbound stretch.
