OK fellow GMCers !!

We are back home here in New Jersey

I want to thank all of you that offered prayers for us, for the trip was
great.

Of course I want to thank Chuck Wills and most of all Manny Trovao (more on
that at a later time.

Over the months I heard all kinds of pros and cons, refering to tires,
brakes, regular/premium gases etc.

Our trip to California recorded 8431 miles on the odometer.

Our tires were Ridge Runners D Ply, 215x85x16. Ridge Runners are Goodyear
tires,
much cheaper than G159, in fact 500+ dollars cheaper for 6. Of course
on the
new Aloca Rims.

We traveled the mountain from Prescott to Sedona, the coast of California up
Rte, t
to the Big Sur and up the coast to Half Moon Bay on Rte #1.

We missed the turn for Rte 92 and traveled across on Rte #84 to Route 101.

All of the above with the standard GMC brakes. The front disks were singing
after
leaving the Big Sur, this was due to the fact that the disks cracked
(old age?)
and the singer was rubbing against the rotor.

We used regular gas at all times, and traveled a maximum speed allowed,
sometimes on the open road down hills even hit 80 at times. (never
thought
Ed Lubo would do such a thing.

We averaged on our trip 7.952 miles per gallon of gas for the trip. The
coach rode better than the my 94 Lincoln Town Car and got better gas mileage
than the 75 Lincoln Mark that I had.

I'll leave my coach the way it is, couldn't be more pleasing. Leaving San
Jose, CA. Wednesday morning at 7:30am and arriving in New Jersey on Monday
evening at 6:30pm, even encountering a blizzard in Flagstaff, AR. 6 DAYS
with my beautiful 1975 GMC Landau coach.

Amen

Welcome Home Ed!

It is a great story and must have been a great trip.

I just got back from a only a 600 mile, 3 day trip. I'm happy to report
everything
worked as advertised. Even my wife enjoyed the ride!
